Dubai Airshow Day 5 - Thursday 19th November 2009

The Dubai Airshow ends today with organisers saying that deals signed at the event have so far totalled $13bn. As expected, few deals have been signed by Middle East carriers, which already have large order books, but defence and maintenance spending, as well as international deals, have helped to support order books.
 
 
Gulf carriers quiet at Dubai Airshow


Despite orders topping $13bn, Middle East carriers were for the most part silent at the 2009 Dubai Airshow as most of the orders at this year's event were made by airlines from outside the region.
