Dubai Airshow Day 3 - Tuesday 17th November 2009

As the Dubai Airshow enters its third day, a common theme has been announcements of plane orders for carriers based outside the Middle East. On Sunday Ethiopian Airlines confirmed an order for 12 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft. Today, Air Austral, headquartered in Saint Denis, La Reunion, announced an order for two Airbus A380s. Also today, Tassili Airlines of Algeria signed a deal for four Boeing 737-800s.
 
 
Dubai expects new airport to bring
economic boost

With passenger traffic at the Dubai International Airport on track to pass 40 million this year, boosting capacity is a key driver behind the development of a new airport, the Al Maktoum International in Jebel Ali, but it is not the only factor behind the project, Dubai aviation officials say.

Flydubai discusses $160m financing
